There are few things in life more heart-melting than a fluffy gosling basking in the spring sun — and this little one in Kungsparken, Malmö, was the very definition of adorable. Nestled low in the grass, with its buttery-soft down catching every glint of morning light, it looked like a tiny sunbeam come to life.
Malmö’s parks come alive in spring, and Kungsparken is no exception. While tourists often head straight to Slottsträdgården or the castle, locals know this is where the quieter magic happens — shady paths, dramatic trees, and if you’re lucky, a gosling curled up like this, taking a break between waddles.
Photographed with my Sony A7R V, I crouched in the dewy grass for this one, holding my breath not to scare it off. That glowing background swirl? Just the magic of early light meeting new growth. And the gosling? Calm, curious, and content — reminding me that sometimes, the best part of the day is simply sitting still and observing new life unfold.
